The Gospel and U2: I still havent found what I am looking for

Bono says in the video that this song was originally a Gospel song.  I agree to a point that some of the words mirror the Gospel.  Here are the lyrics.

I have climbed highest mountain
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you

I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you

But I still havent found what Im looking for
But I still havent found what Im looking for

I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her fingertips
It burned like fire
This burning desire

I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone

But I still havent found what Im looking for
But I still havent found what Im looking for

I believe in the kingdom come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
Bleed into one
Well yes Im still running

You broke the bonds and you
Loosed the chains
Carried the cross
Of my shame
Of my shame
You know I believed it

But I still havent found what Im looking for
But I still havent found what Im looking for
But I still havent found what Im looking for
But I still havent found what Im looking for…

However, Bono says I still havent found what I’m looking for.  He accurately portays the ability of the human race to attempt to stay in the saddle at all costs when he says this.

Scripture, on the other hand shows us a better method via the cross.  Its important to find our identity “in Christ” and what He did for us on the Cross. Without the security of Jesus Christ and what he did for us how can we maintain the motivation to  overcome anything?

Does it mean I am a Calvinist if I believe what i was looking for found me before I knew enough to look for it?
“And I’m thrilled, I’ve been found, and I look no more”
    my adaptation, fits pretty good!
